Reception help

The FI and I won't be having a dance floor, but want to do the IPOD.  I mentioned Travis Allen and he isn't having it.  Frown  What other options are there?

TIA

Photo Booth? You can make your own, have props and such. Polaroid has a new printer that you hook up to you digital camera and it prints 3X5 photos on sticky paper.

Not sure what your looking for here. Entertainment options?
Guests should be fine mingling around talking to each other. If you have background music, food, & drinks, adults will be able to entertain themselves.

Travis comes pretty well regarded from people that have used him; why does your FI not like him?  Or just doesn't like the idea?  I can't think of much else other than music, DJ, or Elivs if you're not having a dance floor.  I'm sure there are magicians, etc. but that's cool when you're at Chuck-E-Cheese and 12 lol.

Yea i know what you mean. My now husband wanted no part of Travis Allen. LOL. We did the DJ and i'm glad i did, he kept things flowing. We just danced on carpet couldn't see paying extra to have a dance floor put in.

What's the issue with Travis?  My FI LOVED the idea.  Hence, we are having him perform at our RD.  Did you check out any of his online videos?

Also, you can have Travis AND a DJ.

That's what I'm doing.  If you're FI isn't a huge Elvis impersonator fan, I'm sure your guests will be.  A lot of TA's reviews RAVE about him.  In fact I've never come across a bad review for him...not saying they're aren't any but I haven't seen one yet!  I think he's a hit with most any crowd.

See I love the idea but he wasn't having it.. I'll have to bring it up to him again and see what he says. I've seen videos and reviews that's why I brought it up to him. I think he would be a hit too. Smokey I'd be interested in the piano man. Ill have something else to present if he's dead set No on TA.

The FI loves Metallica,Three Days Grace, breaking Benjamin, Seether, Rise Against...you get the idea. If I could get one of those guys to come only for a few mins it would be awesome but what's the chance of that happening, none! Lol

I think he's $600 for two hours.  If you are interested, then you should contact Cynthia Harris at Classical Entertainment to have her check his availability and get a quote for what you need.  Tell her that I recommended Mike.  Honestly, I don't know if they will book someone that far out though but it's worth a try.

She can also recommend other kinds of live entertainment if you want.  If we didn't do a piano man, we would have done a mariachi trio.
