Photo Strip Tour

Hi Brides :)

I'm sure a ton of us are planning on doing/have done a photo strip tour.

So...
Where are you planning on going or where did you go?
How much time did you allot for photos?
What are some of your "must take" photos?

I am planning on going to the Venetian, Paris, Bellagio & ending up at Caesars.  Our tour is scheduled from 2pm-4:30pm.  Our ceremony is at 6pm.  I love photos with the venetian canal in the background.  That's about it.  I like to give the photographer creative reign.

We have 4 hours of photography for the sign, bellagio, Paris, and Fremont Street. And if we have time, the chandeliers in Planet Hollywood. Our timeline is werid though so it is broken up into pieces. It won't be 4 hours solid.

Our ceramony starts at 230 and our reception is at 530, the time in between we are doing a strip tour. Bellagio fountains and Paris are a must, but other than that Im leaving it up to Mike L. on where we go.

I've got 2.5 hours for a strip tour and the Welcome to Las Vegas sign is my only MUST take photo outside.  I also want a few pics rolling the dice at the craps table and playing the slot machines.  For some reason I HAVE to have these Vegas-y shots.  And if we happen to see Elvis around I hope he'll pose with us.

On the other end of the spectrum, I loved a recent photo of the bride and groom kissing in a telephone booth.  It looked so romantic.

You guys went to a lot of places in 3 hours!  I really hope we can make half that in 2 and a half...

We never felt rushed either! Our limo driver was really good about getting us from location to location also.

we only made it to two locations: Welcome to Vegas sign and Fremont street.

my tips for a strip tour:
    - do it AFTER your ceremony if you're wearing a long white dress, because the bottom of your dress will be a disgusting grey/black mess at the end of the tour.  if you have a short dress, no problems.  my dress had zero train and it was gross after tour.  i even ripped it in a few places (which, isn't *terrible* since my dress bottom was all random ruffles, feathers, and tulle...but it could be a concern for more traditional dresses).

    - the less people you have, the better.  we had 8 wedding party members, plus us and things were...chaotic.  Todd did his best to keep things rolling, but we lost half the wedding party on Fremont street (100% our friends fault - not Todd or the limo driver or anything), and waiting for people to use the bathroom.  i don't know if everyone had the experience we did, but i think its alot easier to hit alot of locations if its just you and your husband or if you have a small wedding party.

    - if you have 100% must take shots - write them down and give them to your photographer.  i had a mental list and, while i remembered the major must have shots (rings on the newspaper, shoes and socks) i forgot to do the craps/slots photos.  on the same line of thinking, let your photographer know the locations you want to go in the order of their importance to you.  i booked our limo based on what i thought made the most sense logistically, but Todd had us go to places i really wanted.  since we only made it to 2 of the 4 places i wanted to go, i'm glad he had us do that :)

Great suggestions! We're planning on the Vegas sign and Fremont St as well.
It wasn't open the last time I was in Vegas, but I'd like to take some pics at the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan.  Has anyone been there? Are there good picture spots?
I'd also like to do the craps table photos, but I've read somewhere that you're not allowed to take pictures on a casino floor. Anyone know about this?
    Thanks!

We had pics done in a casino (can't remember which one) on Fremont St.
Todd was very quick and discreet when doing these photos so we did not run into any issues.

Because Cashman Photography is contracted in all the casinos, they do not let you take pictures around the inside of any casino, however, sometimes they dont see you taking the pictures, its really a game of how well you hide it. As far as I know, no casino will let you take pictures anywhere close to table games.

We are booked for 3 hours in between the ceremony and dinner. We are getting married at Planet Hollywood so we are doing the chandeliers there first. Then we are going to the Welcome Sign (oncloudk9- our photographer said there is usually an Elvis lurking there), along the Strip (Bellagio, Venetian, Paris maybe) and then we have a photo shoot booked at the Neon Museum (can't wait for that part!).

Thanks for the tip about the dress... I will have to remember to keep it bustled as much as possible.
