Ideas for Guest Book

Hi Everyone!

I want to hear any unique ideas for a wedding guest book. We are having a small wedding followed by a dinner at a restaurant. I don't think there will be time to for guests to sign a book at the chapel, so should we pass something around during dinner? Thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking of DIY'ing something like this.

    http://www.etsy.com/listing/48670557/custom-fingerprint-tree-canvas

It's a canvas with a tree. Each guest uses their fingerprint to make the leaves of the tree and then signs their fingerprint.

I thought it would be cute and we could hang it up in our home later.

We are having a vintage Black and White Las Vegas sign and the guests will sign with a thin marker

I think another Knottie did this but I can't remember her name.

I found an interesting idea on theknot.  I ordered the actual vinyl record of our first dance song, The Jackson 5 "I'll Be There."  I will just have a silver marker so everyone can sign the record :)  I knew I did not want a traditional "guest book" because it would just collect dust somewhere.  This way, I can frame the record and it will be a cool art piece with all of our guests signatures and special messages!!!

I found all these vintage (1950's) postcards of Vegas on Ebay and we are going to get guests to pick one and write something on the back. When we get home we are going to place them in a frame with some on the picture side and some on the message side.

I have the same poster (but copied it off yet another bride - can't remember who either)!

I am not sure that I am going to use it anymore. We are having a non-private dinner in a restaurant, and I wanted it up on an easel so it is easy to see and for guests to write on, rather than having it laid down, but it all seems too much hassle now!

We did the vinyl record idea and love it. We got engaged at a Bon Iver concert...so if you have a meaninful song/singer, it's a great idea. Silver sharpie worked great.

We then also did the Vegas postcards for the hometown celebrations....those are still sitting in a box though ;-)

We're doing a photo guest book with a photo booth.  Instead of having guests sign something we are having them get their pic taken in the photo booth.  They get a copy of the pics and we get saved images to put into our own book that we will create after the festivities.  We will be creating our own photo booth but you could rent one.

We made a guest book on picaboo with our engagment pictures leaving lots of black space for people to sign.  It turned out really well.

We decided to have guests sign a wine cork (we're avid wine drinkers) and we'll make a wreath or some sort of art work out of it. We're having our wedding in vegas and 2 showers/receptions in our home town so we're going to use a different colored paint pen for each event.

we're torn between two ideas at the moment.  either the vinyl record idea, stolen from chrisandeva (but with a Dave Matthews Band record) or this take on the postcard guestbook: http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/25-guest-book-ideas#slide_14

I bought a book with Las Vegas photos in it.  I am going to adhere photo corners on different pages, and have guests put an instant photo on the page of their choice and write a message with a metalic marker.  I am putting our invitation on the cover and will put our wedding photo on the inside page I think.  Bought the book so far, but have not put it all together yet
