Scouting Trip-12 year old coming with

Anyone have ideas where to say so my son, who has never been, doesn't go mad while we do our little scouting stuff.  Thanks.

The Palms has a kids quest and he can stay there while you go do your scouting I think. Its a huge activity and games place for kids. I think they also have one at Santa Fe Station, Red Rock and Boulder Station.  www.Kidsquest.com

Excalibur has an Arcade/Carnival area and New York New York has an arcade area and roller coaster.

I wouldn't really recommend Kid's Quest for a 12-year old...I worked at the one at Boulder several years ago and there's not a whole lot to do for a 12 year old (and it's like a babysitting service).  Circus Circus is definitely a good choice - they've got the carnival games and they also have the adventure dome.  If you're going while it's still warm, anywhere with a family pool would be great for his age.  Several casinos have bowling alleys (I know Gold Coast and South Point both do).  You should also check out Pole Position Raceway (the strip location) as a "reward" or "bribe" for the last leg of your trip - it's an indoor kart racing.
