Joes Seafood and Steaks-Insight Needed please

Ok my parents are in LV and saw Juno garden and putting a deposit down but first we need to sign contract!  Smile

Now while they were there they visited Joes. The FI doesn't like seafood and doesn't like the smell. Can someone please tell me if it smells like fish???? If you're in the private rooms or just in general. My parents said they are Very flexible and prices are very reasonable. My issue is the smell. I want to consider all options and since we are getting married at CP it's also convenient.

Thank you in advance.

I've been there and it doesn't smell!
It's a crab house, so there isn't a ton of fishy smelling fish being served/cooked there.
I wouldn't worry about it smelling, anyway. It is a very nice restraurant and it's in CP, if there was a smell, they would take care of it.

Joe's is an upscale restaurant in the Forum shops, so there's no smell. It's not like it's located on Pier 39 or near the coastline somewhere. I love it and try to go everytime we're in Vegas. There's also a new restaurant that just opened across from Joe's, but I can't remember the name.

Joe's is the classiest restaurant I've ever been too.  The walls smell of rich mahogany, not seafood.

I will call them later today and get more information.  My parents spoke to a women, but I forgot her name.

I've seen some pictures on the website and it looks super nice.  Smile

So did you ask your parents about this since they were just there?

My mom talked to someone at CP and they mentioned Joes to them since it's a hop skip and a jump away aka convenient and my mom told me about it.  I told my mom I knew abouit Joes, but that the FI doesn't like fish, seafood, and the smell that is why I didn't request information.

My mom decided since they are there in LV they would check it out.  She said she talked to someone at Joes and loves the place more than the first place they saw early in the morning.  SO....I told the FI about it and he said to get more information about Joes.  It all depends on the smell.  If it smells then its out....if it doesn't then its a possiblility for our reception.

The FI wants a steak dinner at a nice restaurant so...I guess Joes all rides on the FI.  We have a Joes here so we might to there and check it out and see what he thinks.

Your parents are in Vegas, where they can go to Joe's, and you have one at home, where you can bring FI?

And it's a nice restaurant, and most nice restaurants don't stink.

Am I missing the issue/question here?

The question I was asking is if it had a fish smell when you walked into the restaurant and the answer is NO.  Smile

I feel so much better knowing that and I just got off the phone with Nicole at Joe's.  She answered my questions and now she is sending me info.  I am trying to find pictures too of Knotties who have had their reception there but only found 1 person so far.

Anyone have pictures from a Joes reception that I can see?  I feel like Joes could be a possibility now.  Smile

Pretty sure even Red Lobster doesn't 'stink' of seafood...most restaurants don't have open air kicthens these days.

Just got information from Joes and I LOVE the GiGi room!  The view of the Paris hotel is just breath taking. Smile

my reception will be at Joe's in a few weeks.  i'll pics then.

...and even though your parents are paying, is there a reason they're looking at all the venues and picking out the places and you're not at least looking at the places in person?  just curious - especially since you're worried about things like 'smell'

Amandajean-my parents live closer to LV than we do plus this trip to LV was all them. It's for them not us. They want to see the places in person which is fine but I didn't tell them to go there for us. If it were up to me I'd book site unseen if I was paying and do a scouting trip later on. They like the garden at CP so that's a plus. :-). When we were thinking of smell we were thinking of Joes crabshack but we were wrong. We still have time to pick a reception site and it's nice to have another option. :-). I can't wait to see your pictures! The GiGi room looks SO pretty.
