My dress arrived today!

I just received my box from Kleinfeld!!!!!! My dress is finally here! It looks just as gorgeous as I rememebered, BUT much poofier! I am very excited :)

Quick question... I am getting in altered in 6 weeks and will be keeping it in my apt until then, should I hang it up, or keep it laying down?!

Thanks :)

I wondered the same thing! I hung mine up for like a month due to space and it was fine.  But if I had to do it all over, I probably would have keep it laying down.

How exciting!!!  Do you have pictures of the dress???  I'd love to see it.  :-)

Until I found out that the bridal store stores it for me I was going to have a friend store it.  I requested that it be hung as high as possible so it isn't touching the ground so I would say hang it up.

Do you have any pics of the dress?? I wanna see.....

I would hang it up. But will they be steaming it for your wedding day?  If so, then I wouldn't worry but hang it up still because it's probably taking up more space laying down.

Whatever you do, as long as it's away from dirt/pets/etc, it'll be fine. When alterations are done it will be steamed/pressed/fluffed/etc.

Pics please!:) if you were storing it for longer they say to lay it flat, if there is beading it could pull on it etc. They also say to store in a breathable cover like a white sheet, not plastic because it could cause moisture, but I think you're ok to just hang since it's not being stored that long.
