Phone Calls since i got married

I have been getting these phone calls from some Greg guy at recorded document services in Las Vegas. Has anyone else recieved the same phone calls? And do you know what it's about?

From what I understand, these are companies that try to offer you some sort of express service to get you to pay more money to expedite the marriage certificate - basically a scam to get more money out of you for something that regularly costs $15.

Yeah, they hit up the office and get lists of everyone who's recently married, since it's public record, then spam you with mail and cold calls to go handle your license retrieval for you, etc.  i.e. pay $$$ to get it two days earlier because they went and got it and overnighted it instead of waiting for it regular mail since it's not like they can make the clerks office issue it faster.

Thanks that's what I thought... I've been ignoring them but maybe I should call them back and tell them to leave me alone.

no calls, but i've gotten the mail.  i just toss it.  we ordered our certified certificate earlier this week directly through the Clark County website.

Glad you posted this!  I am so gulliable (sp) I may have fallen for that!  Crazy how shady people can be.
