I have enjoyed reading these post and even responding at times. My FI are leaving Sunday for Vegas and our wedding was planned for Tuesday. On Tuesday this week he tells me that we cannot get married next week because he is not divorced! His ex wrote me an e-mail after she met me in March and said that he wanted a divorce and when I asked if he was divorced he said he was. I kept asking for the date of the divorce and he kept saying he needed to contact his lawyer. Bottom line he went to court last Friday and she had not been served so the divorce was not granted and therefore we cannot get married. I have had the range of emotion this week. This was really an elopement because it was only the two of us going. Anyway he goes back to court in June and we are hoping for a local wedding in July. Good luck to all you young ladies!
