Has anyone been able to negotiate lower room rates for the Harrah Properties?

I didn't have to negotiate, the rates they offered me were anywhere from 25% - 30% lower than rack rate depending on the night.

I created a room block with them and was given a very nice price. And when I called back a couple months ago to add Sunday and Monday night, they told me that my prices for Friday and Saturday were lowered!

My room block is at Imperial Palace (for the deluxe rooms), so it's already pretty cheap. But we're staying there on Tuesday and Wednesday nights for $25 a piece! You can't beat that.

Has anyone noticed how high the room prices have jumped? Is it always like that? The same room that someone booked a few months ago has now doubled at CP.

I have noticed prices have gotten really high lately!!!  

I'm so glad I have room blocks with Total Experiences at CP and Flamingo.  At the time, it didn't seem like their rates were that good but now I'm happy to have them locked in.  FI and I are booked at CP thru the room block and are saving like $1000.

@klminor17 - Total Experiences is a company associated with Harrah's properties and they offer concierge type services, including room blocks.

FYI, as my date got closer I noticed a few rates they had quoted me were more than currect rack rates.  When I called to ask about this, they immediately lowered my room block rates to lower than the rack rates.

Almost all our guests are booking at the Flamingo, where we have our rooms blocked, and we got a fantastic rate through total experience.  My TE coordinator is a dream to work with, I would NOT be able to plan all this without her. She has hooked us up something fierce, and is really helping us stick to our budget.

I think the week day rate is great for the Flamingo but the weekend rate jumps up $100.  One thing is that they have a Best Rate Guarentee, so I guess we will block for the rates that they gave us now for our June Wedding and if I see a lower rate then I will use the Guarentee.

Ok - can anyone give me a good phone number for this? I have tried 3 times now very unsuccessfully to book a block at Bally's. help!!
