Margaritaville??

Has anyone been to Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville? Would it be appropriate for an after the wedding dinner/party?
We're just looking for fun casual place and have a couple minors in the group of 30.
thanks

  • It's fun but drinks are $$, and if you want a private area set aside, like the second floor, it is $$$$.  We were going to have our rehearsal dinner there but after they quoted us somewhere around $40/pp without liquor, we went elsewhere.  I love it though, we go there several times every time we're in town for the 'perfect margarita' which is mostly booze, no mix, gets you drunk fast so watch out lol.

  • I worked there as my first job in Vegas when it opened, we used to get sooooo many wedding parties it surprised me.  The walk in wedding parties of 20 I always thought was a bit 'interesting"  I never quite understood why they didn't make a reservation. So if you are considering it then definitely talk to their sales person unless you decide just to go for drinks.  They do have a live band nightly later in the evening I think they go on somewhere around 10 or 11 I don't remember ,but it's definitely fun then.

  • Thanks so much :)

  • I forgot to mention, they have a 'reverse happy hour' now that has drink specials from midnight to 4am or something. :-)

  • LOVE it there. But expensive for groups!

We were thinking Margaritaville for our reception too but to have reservations you have to use the set menu which was pretty limited and expensive!  We were considering just walking in after the wedding (which was 15 people on a Monday), but after eating there a couple of times before the wedding the food wasnt that great and was pricey.  Also the music is pumped in there and makes it hard to talk over dinner.

We made a last minute decision to have our reception at Carlos and Charlies in the flamingo.  They took our reservation no problem, and the wait staff, food, and prices were all great.  I was very (very) happy with our decision to go there instead!
