Ceremony/Reception Music/DJ

I have talked to most Djs in the Vegas area, and all of them have a desire to turn the reception into a rave/club. I am not looking for this. Does anyone out there have a suggestion? Also, does anyone know of some bands that play wedding ceremonies and receptions?

I was thinking of having the band play the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and have a DJ to perform at the reception.

comments, criticisms and suggestions are welcome!

Thank you!

Yes, I recommend Ed Gonzales. I just got married on Sunday, with a guest count of 15. Everyone danced the whole night. He played 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and current music, and mostly what we asked him - and this meant looking up French, Italian, and Canadian music. We were so happy that we tipped him 100$ - his rate was very affordable too.

My husband was really skeptical of hiring him off craigslist but we got so many compliments and he was the first one to say we had to increase the tip we'd planned for him. Here's a link: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/evs/1699685269.html.

I am using All Night Long and have heard nothing but good things about them,

They are all about what you want.  If you want them to dress a certain way they will, If you prefer a male or female they accomodate.

They have upgrade packages if you want lighting, or just keep it simple.

I have found that they respond quickly and thier rates are right in our budget!
