Cake Designs Las Vegas? If so, I did. Her chocolate cake is AWESOME - so is the chocolate buttercream.

She's easy to work with (I'm blanking on her name - Dawn, I think it is) and had contacted me, we'd decided what I needed, and what flavors before the other popular bakery ever contacted me (Freed's - but I don't know about how their cake is).

At the last minute, I called and ordered a half sheet cake, because I was afraid we wouldn't have enough (there was basically only one layer to serve. No problem. We ate on that cake for 4 days.

She created dogwoods and pink prairie roses from pictures I sent her from gumpaste (our state flowers),  and it was cute. It is far from ordinary, but this is it:
Obviously, it had been butchered by everyone (this layer was marble), but it was obviously good.


Boy, that's an embarrassing picture. But OMG, it was good. I wish I had a photo of the full cake when it was "pretty."

Anyway, she comes highly endorsed by everyone who had the cake at my wedding. Moist cake, smooth buttercream, great taste.

I think she is talking about Caked Las Vegas.  Retro Bakery recommended them to me when I found out they would be closed for their vacation the week of our wedding.  They were very prompt in responding to me, but I ultimately went another direction.
