HELP Church in Concord, NC

We are having the WORST time trying to find a very inexpensive church that will marry us (we are currently living together).

I do NOT want to spend over $1,000,....any ideas?  Everything I found is over our budget

are you finding that the churches won't marry you because you're living together??? do they have to know that? haha

a lot of people I know have lied about it...something just makes me feel funny about starting out marriage lying to the church...

it is listed in their policies that they send me though

What is listed in their policies? That you can't get married there if you live together? That seems odd to me.

Our church is $650 ($300 for sanctuary use, $150-200 honorarium for the minister and $150 honorarium for the wedding director) - it's also $250 for us to use the minister of music or organist and an $125-250 honorarium for additional musicians.

This isn't really relevant except that I'm curious and I never can wrap my head around it.  Why do you want to get married in a church you have no affiliation with?  Why would you want to get married somewhere that has different values/beliefs than you (the living together thing) ?

    soo our problem:

The church we usually would attend and have been going to for several years has it stated in their policies that part of the agreement is that we would not live together until after marriage.  When we started going to this church we did not know this was the policy.  So yeah, now I am looking for a new church home and church for our wedding....

None the less:  I want to get married in a church.  We are religious and would love to get married in God's house.  We would not be against finding it as our church home but we just do not have much time left....

If you're religious, God is within you...not in a building.  Your wedding can be religious at any location.  I was going to recommend Belk Chapel in CLT-beautiful and affordable, but looks like they arent accepting weddings in 2012 due to construction. Carrigan Farms is another affordable outdoor location, not too far from Concord.  St. Mary's Chapel in Charlotte is also affordable.
