I just bought a ton of Valentines candy for 50% off, being after the holiday and all... I think we are going to have silver/gray and pink for our wedding colors, so I thought it would be a good time to stock up on some already themed candy. I got pink, red and silver kisses, some dove chocolates in the shape of hearts and some Hershey's miniatures with some hearts on the wrappers.
Now, my fiance isn't sure about this because he thinks it looks like Valentines candy, even though they do not say anything about Valentine's Day on the packaging. I just thought it was a clever way to get favors (or welcome bag) items in my colors for a discount. Am I crazy? By the way, the expiration dates on all the candy is in 2011... so I won't be giving my guests stale items
Oh well, even if we don't end up using it for the wedding, I am sure that it will not go to waste
