Mandalay In-suite receptions

Hello again -
So I called Mandalay and they have my date available.  I am a little confused about the packages.  For those who had in-suite receptions, did you book one of MB's packages - i.e. the petite or premier all inclusive?  From reading people's bios it looks like a lot of people had outside catering.  Just trying to figure out what's the best deal.

Thanks!

For me it was better to go with outside catering due to the cost! But it also depends on what type of food, how much help you will have etc.. we had outside catering and brought in our own drinks.

I will also add...I was VERY lucky yo have great friends/family to help! Other wise PLEASE get yourself a day of coordinator! That is one thing I did not do and if I had the extra budget I would have.

We went with Masterpiece Cuisine for the catering.  We actually did both the ceremony and the reception in the suite, so the only thing we went through MB for was the actual booking of the room.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

I am not buying the package because the smallest package is $5000, and I'm only spedning $2500 for the ceremony, suite, additional room for 2 nights, cake, champagne, and photog for the reception and strip tour :-)

Thanks everyone!  We booked our wedding for October 9th in the Vista Suite.  I ended up going with the Petite package, but will most likely do the Premier since our guest list seems to keep growing:)
