Hey Girl!
Read your post regarding having booked IP, site unseen. I'm in LAS, bored on a layover. Our hotel is walking distance from IP....so I strolled on over to check it out, to hopefully relieve some of your worry. And....It is LOVELY!! Looks exactly as it does on the website. I think you'll be happy!

I'm going to be honest...and I'm not telling you this to stress you out. Im telling you so you won't face any surprises in 6 weeks. IP has a lot of construction going on out front from the LV Blvd entrance side. Hopefully it will have lessened in another 6 weeks. And the casino?--it's time for a make over. (old) But it was busy in there, though! However---once I got to the chapel area on the 4th floor---totally different place! It's all redone. The chapel waiting area (for your guests etc) has been painted, has nice furniture etc.

I was hoping to snap a pic to post for you, but there was nobody around to let me in and the door was locked! I saw what I did, peeking thru the stained glass in the door. It's an intimate size. I believe I saw (don't quote me) 8 rows with 5 chairs per row. If I'm correct that'd be 80 seats, 40 each side. Even just peeking thru the door, I could see how pretty it was! They had (from the last wedding?) up lighting (2 alternating colors) in blue and green with a Vegas background lit up front. An elegant swirled pattern in the carpet going up the aisle. Silver chiavari chairs, it's pretty, and its EXACTLY what you've seen online! I don't know you personally to know your tastes, but if you liked what you saw via the website--you'll be happy on wedding day!

OMG I ♥ you, Stewy!!!! Thank you so much! I guess I am the guinea pig for this space and you are a lifesaver! What a sweet sweet girl you are! We only have 30 RSVPs (including ourselves so we will be fine! So exciting!

I knew the casino was ghetoo, I don't even care. Once they get to that chapel they will know why I picked it. Love!

I just emailed VG some pics from IP including the waiting area and bridal rooms. The one with the wood floor is bigger but the restroom is in the smaller one. Also, you can avoid the casino by going through the valet entrance and taking the elevator straight up.

Are both bridal rooms for the same chapel?  One for goom one for bride, something like that?  The wood floor one looks nicer, more modern.

The bigger one with the wood floor in definitely nicer. It's next to the smaller chapel with the southwestern theme. The small chapel seats 15? max and those seats feel very close to the altar.

The smaller bridal room is next to the bigger chapel. Back in March when I looked at it the coordinator told me if the second chapel wasn't in use, either was an option to use.

Oh, and I finally received my long dress and was able to try it on tonight and it fits!!! It is too big for me, but we are going to have it altered. It is super sexy in the back. I can't wait for you guys to see it after alterations! It looks bomb with my jewelry and shoes too.

I'm all about crashing weddings lol.  Funny thing is I might be in town on your wedding day.  I am going back to Vegas for court in late August to give a nice staredown to the a**holes who stole my luggage in March and their court date is your wedding day ha.

</div><div>I have a few pics of one of the suites at Platinum if you're interested in those too. It's not a hosting suite by any means- just one meant for sleeping. Platinum was supposed to be condos before it was bought out to be a hotel so the rooms are like apartments - at least the one I saw.</div><div>

One of them has actually done a year in prison and is possibly still on parole so he'll definitely be going back.  First offense for the other.  I have a feeling the county intends to come down hard on themto set an example about luggage thieves since that could have a huge effect on tourism if it happens to too many visitors.

Mango--Thanks for sharing your IP pics. I just saw them on VGs site, and they really give a great visual. (my review was thru the stained glass) Those pics should give future brides a better idea of what to [pleasantly] expect, considering what you see downstairs! And, great tip about using the valet entrance to head straight to the chapel.

I parked at Harrahs the day I went and it was a trek to get to the chapel.There is no way my dad who is sick could make that walk, especially through the smoke in the casino. I stopped at HashHouseAGoGo for lunch that day (I'm local and I had never been there) and 1. couldn't find that too easily 2. wasn't impressed with the food. I'm guessing that the great reviews are not based on that location. Or I'm more picky than I thought I was. <div>
