Hi Sara,
Update for dress on the plane: I spoke to my Delta friend. She says its pretty much the same on Delta, as what I told you regarding my own airline. (Im an east coast girl, with Continental) She tells me the majority of the planes Delta uses on that route are larger aircraft, which will hopefully mean a larger closet.

Also, as "insiders," we can look up a flight and see who is working it. It is too soon just yet to know our October schedules, but if you will remind me (maybe about a week-10 days prior to your travel) of your origin city, flight #, etc., I can pass it to Denise. She can then look to see if she knows anyone on your crew, to give them a heads up! She also says, if she doesnt know anyone, she MAY (no promises) be able to contact a name on that crew, and let them know, Hey, WORRIED BRIDE WITH DRESS IN TOW--Please take good care of her!

I am new on TK. Just lurking and learning for now. I havent yet officially introduced myself to this very nice group of ladies and few gents (Didnt forget you Vegas Groom!) I am very excited, so I lurk quite often! So I am sure I will see your page or PM if you prefer.

Enjoy your day!

Hi Dawn - That's awesome, thanks so much for any help/all the info!  I will definitely let you know my flight info 10 days out, we're on a direct flight, fyi on that.  Anything would help, and totally understand on the no promises.

This board is a tremendous help as I'm sure you know from lurking, feel free to start posting more/asking questions, as you'll always get an answer:)

When are you getting married?  Do you have anything booked yet?

    Thanks again!Laughing

At this point, I am shooting for April 17, 2012. It's a Tuesday--but hey, it's Vegas, where rules don't apply! The Tuesday date is sentimental. It will be exactly 4 years to the day that we met. My parents live in LAS, and we wanted something small and intimate. So close family and friends in LAS for a few days, is perfect for us. I am interested in a simple ceremony at Mandalay Bay. Originally, I wanted a small "after party" at my parents home, but changed my mind when I considered that my Mother would likely be too concerned with comforting other guests, instead of enjoying her own daughters wedding! So I have now gone the Vista Suite route. I am in contact with a WC @ MB, and with Scott at MP Cuisine, but haven't yet committed to either. I have however, secured the Vista suite for 3 days. I feared lack of availability on the date that I have my heart set on! (better to secure the date and cancel later, should things change) I have a LAS layover later this month, with plans to go check things out in person, and hopefully book. Once I am fully committed with a chapel date, I will likely stop lurking on this board and introduce myself as a real knottie. :) I do have a question for you though. If I'm not mistaken, I believe you are using the L suite at The Hotel. I am considering changing from Vista to the L, if it's available on the days I need, and if the price isn't much different. But my question is, Is there a good strip view from The L? The strip view was one of the main reasons why I went the Vista route. And if I may ask, how was the price, in comparison to the Vista? Sorry to ask. I hate that you cannot see The L suite info, via the reservations website! I'm only having approx 30- 40 Max! So either would work for me. I like the L's layout better...but really want the strip view. I'm hoping to be able to see them both in person when I'm scouting. Thanks in advance for any info.

First, it's funny how you say LAS, you can tell what you do:) which btw I'm jealous about, I always thought that'd be so fun to do, the travel perks don't hurt either I'm sure. Second, yay on another in-suite bride:) to answer your suites questions. The L does not have a strip view, it's basically just a bunch of little twinkly lights is what it looks like at night. The Vista hands down has a better view than the L. That being said for us the other aspects of the L outweighed the better view. There's more space in the L, the decor is much more modern/updated, the sound system sounds fantastic. But the L is more than the Vista, but I can't remember what price exactly the Vista was, but when we originally booked the L the price was $649 for Thurs. and $1,029 for Fri. but we now have the 25% off coupon codes applied to that, and the price lowered about $50 since we booked too so they adjusted it, so basically it's around $1,200 for the two nights. Since yours would be on a Tues. It will probably be cheaper in general over a weekend rate of course, but maybe even cheaper than a Thurs. rate. I think once you do the scouting stop and are able to see the suites you'll know which one you want to go with right away. I did at least:) Well welcome to the board and let me know if you have any more questions!

Thank you Sara...my new MSP friend! Lol. Yes, I often speak in "city code" without even realizing. Thank you for the L info. I will check into it further while I'm there. But it sounds like I am going to be satisfied with the Vista. When I booked (via the Internet) in late June, it was $610 per night--for a Mon, Tues, and Wed! I figure I can likely bring that down by way of a promo/coupon, and/or by possibly having the chapel rate added when I finalize with Aleena, the WC. Thank you for making me feel welcome! I look forward to future interaction and fully completing my bio, etc. This board is very informative, and FUN! I find myself all excited to hear news and see wedding pictures of people I've never actually met or spoken to! : )

Hi, I got married in TheHotel "T suite" on Aug 20th and the reason why I booked the T instead of the L is because T always have the strip view and I would like my guest to have the view and I don't have to worry about it at the last min.  Eventhough its a bit smaller - 100 square feet less (I have 50 people total)

    Good luck!!
