10/22 Reviews and some photos!

I posted my reviews on our wedding blog!
http://annloveserik.blogspot.com/p/vendors.html

We pretty much had positive experiences with everyone. The only "big" issue was that our ceremony did not go as planned with our officiant. Still a little bothered by it, but I'm getting over it. Hopefully I'll be laughing about it by our first anniversary!

They are fairly stream of consciousness...so apologies for typos and imperfect grammar.

One of our guests just posted some great photos a few minutes ago! https://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.10150363182873193.348368.509628192&type=1 (let me know if this link doesn't work)

Please fire-a-way with any questions. I'm *still* super busy catching up on work, but I'll try to keep checking in often. :)

Great reviews Ann! A shame about your ceremony, it is extremely frustrating when things don't go as planned ESPECIALLY when you consider yourself a detailed and organized bride (which I did as well). I would be extremely annoyed by it but at the end of the day the end result is you are married to the person you love.....hopefully it is something you will look back on and laugh in years to come!

Congrats! Thanks for the reviews. I am working with the Platinum. I have received my contract but it doesnt say much other than the F&B Minimum. What types of things did you add to your contract?

I basically added anything that we had verbally discussed with Nicole (waive cake cutting, include champagne toast, discount on F&B, prices won't go up). Anything you negotiated should be added. Hope that helps!

Thanks everyone! We had such a good time.

@verucasaltytoo. For reals! We called and asked them if we could pay them to pick it up and they said no. We thought about eating the deposit too...but it was $120...so we made the long drive. It took a little longer than it should have because part of 15 was closed that day.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your centerpieces. Were you able to use candles at the Platinum? I could have sworn I ready somewhere no.

Thank you! DIYing the centerpieces stressed me out a bit, but I'm happy with how they turned out! Sadly, you can't use real candles. For the hanging votives in the manzanita branches, I used these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045I6N6S They looked fairly realistic. Marie said they have some LED tealights that you can use...but at that point I already bought a bajillion of them. :)

Our ceremony was kind of jacked up too, but not nearly as bad as yours. That SUCKS! Our officiant gave this mini-sermon that was a cooking analogy about lovemaking. AWKWARD. We've been married for a month now, and we watched our ceremony again the other day and we laughed about it.

I don't know that you'll laugh about yours so soon, but what happened is past, and overall, your day sounded amazing. That's what I remind myself about whenever the things that went wrong creep into my mind. The day was awesome, and people had a great time.

PS. I'm jealous you had Lantz. Everyone raves about him. I think our DJ kind of sucked. Our dance floor was almost never packed and he didn't play a single slow song throughout the night. He wasn't horrible, he was just kind of lame.

I'm sure you are dying to see Chelsea's pictures. I am too!!!! Be sure to AW when you get them!

    AND CONGRATULATIONS!

Natrasha...it seems like we've had a rash of imperfect ceremonies! You, me, Sin and Sara at least. It is a tough pill to swallow, but you're right...I try to focus on the good...our vows that we wrote were the highlight definitely. But then the negative thoughts creep in, "Well, if the vows were the best part, why did you pay $400 for a ceremony?"

    LOL. That's my inner dialogue.

Anyway, it also makes me feel better that our guests really didn't know how everything was "supposed" to go. And everyone laughed when she called me Erica. I'll be laughing soon too. Hopefully.
