Nevada-Las Vegas

Planet Hollywood

Hey everyone! So we're planning on having a Vegas wedding in November and at first I was highly considering Chapel of the Flowers and even put down a deposit but I can never get a response from anyone there and I'm not liking that so we're considering just going with an actual hotel wedding.

My parents are Total Rewards members (I believe they get a discount off the wedding not completely sure though) and after looking at the different chapels they offer Caesar's Palace and Planet Hollywood are at the top of the list. I like the ones at Flamingo if it were outdoors but correct me if I'm wrong but it gets pretty chilly in Vegas around November right?

I really like Planet Hollywood but I don't see much when it comes to how it actually looks and how their photography is since it's included. Have any of you ever been married or been to wedding in PH? If so is the actual chapel nice (It's hard to tell based off of that one picture on their site)? Also how did your photos turn out? The photography is probably one of the biggest selling points for me right now and obviously how the actual chapels look.

We live in CA so we probably won't be able to go down to Vegas for another month to actually look for ourselves since my mom is going with my Grandma this weekend. I already asked her to go and look for me, but she said that's not what she's going for lol.

Thank you! :)

ETA: I actually sent them an email 30 minutes before posting this and got a response answering all my questions about an hour ago. If any of you were interested in their photos as well they are done by http://www.cashmanphoto.com/

  • I haven't been in the chapel at PH, but I can confirm for you that Vegas gets pretty chilly in November.

Try looking on Trip Advisor for photos of the PH chapel.  Usually you can find a lot of user photos, which should give you a good idea of what the chapel looks like, and from a variety of angles.

Regarding weather, yes, November will be pretty cold for outdoor; average temp in November is a 67 degree high, typical is more in the upper 50's low 60's during the day.

Regarding PH ceremonies, here's three recent ones; you might be able to find contact info on their sites to email them for more details:

Regarding photography, I believe the Total Rewards resorts, or at least some of them, allow you to pay a small fee to enable you to bring in a third party photographer.  I would strongly recommend doing that; even after the fee and what the third party charges, you'll still come out dramatically ahead of what you'd spend with Cashman, and you have a high liklihood of getting far better pictures based on their typical reviews.  That will also get you out of having to go through the uncomfortable waste of time the day after your ceremony where they sit you down in a small room and try to upsell you on everything under the sun, or try to make you pay $1000 or more for the DVD of your photos that any other photographer includes for free.  If you don't want to pay for the DVD, then you're stuck paying them $5 for prints any photo lab would have charged 25 cents for if you had the original image files.

Married in Vegas - June 2011

  • I'm getting married at PH in April.  I didn't look into the quality of the photography before I booked because it wasn't a huge concern for me.  I am not as concerned with quality as I am with documentation of the wedding.  I can say that I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE Ali, the wedding coordinator that I've been working with.  I have sent her numberous emails with question after question and she has answered them quickly and thoroughly.  I have never been to Vegas and she has helped me not only coordinate the details of our wedding but with our trip to Vegas as well.  They are also pretty flexible with the wedding packages.  We opted for the Notebook package and were able to add a few things and change a few things to make it work for what we wanted.  I will write reviews and post a link to pictures as soon as we get back for anyone interested.  I am hopeful that the great service I have had so far pans out.  Good luck!
