Double Decker Bus and LV Sign

I'm really considering doing the DDB for my 40 (or so) guests and FI and I have talked about a very short ceremony at the Welcome sign.  Will the DDB stop at the sign for pictures anyway?  Would it be a horrible idea to just do our ceermony there in front of our family and friends while they stand around?

If we did this we'd then continue on our tour, have the DDB drop us off at Studio B buffet and then have a 24pass buss (bells tran or someone) shuttle people back to our original meeting point (our hotel probably).  Would this work?

Any info, opinions, recommendations etc are greatly appreciated.

I don't think it would be a horrible idea as such, but remember, there will be lots of other tourists and even wedding parties milling around, waiting for their photo opportunity. Personally, I think it would be too public, and also probably quite noisy with all the traffic.

I do definitely recommend using the DDB to take you there for photos though.

Any ideas on where we could do a quick ceremonyt?  I'm not super concerned with public spots.  Just some place (preferably ourside) where our officiant (we have our own) could make us man and wife? :)  I'd like to stay close to the strip and avoid a chapel if possible. Thank you!

i would be worried about there being other people wanting to the same or just take pictures. try the neon bone yard. and the chapels will let you bring your own offciant. We are getting married at the little church of the west and they will let us bring in our own. (my fh Uncle) hope this helps

When we went to take pictures at the sign just DH and I, there was another wedding going on.   The wedding seemed a little rushed because tourists and other brides were waiting to take pictures.  Later when we went to take pictures at night with everyone, there were only a few tourists we had to wait behind.

I think it's no problem using the bus to have your wedding there, but just keep in mind that you may have to wait awhile before the area can be cleared for you to have the ceremony and that you factor that into the DDB rental time if there's other spots you think are a must hit.  :)

Could you get married ON the double decker bus riding around town?  That might be fun.  Definiately different.

OMG, you totally read my mind.  I was just thinking that.  Maybe stop by the Bellagio fountains when their show is going on? :)

We're having our ceremony in front of the Bellagio Fountains.  The only problem is that the sidewalk is technically "Bellagio property", so our photographer is concerned that security may have a problem if our group gets too big.  I don't know if that's a risk you'd be willing to take, but I can't imagine it being a problem.  Totally worth it for the fountains in the background IMO.  Another problem with the Bellagio is that there will be a random song playing, but maybe that could be fun?

    CUTE :)

I was thinking you could get married on the bus, still, but while driving by the Bellagio.  Just a thought :)
