Scouting trip advice?

Does anyone have any advice for a scouting trip? I will be out in vegas in roughly a month (unfortunately without the fi) and wondering if there is anything I should absolutely check out.  The only things I have a plan for are the two ceremony locations & suites at those hotels, and a cake tasting. I dont wanna get out there and think, what am I missing? Thanks in advance!

    Do you have a rough idea on your budget, time of year and what types of services you are going to want (i.e. phtographer, videographer, dj, etc.)?

    I would definitely try to look at photographers if you have not decided on one. I think meeting a photographer in person really helps you know if you will be comfortable with them enough to relax and take better pictures.

    Check out every hotel you think you might possibly want because you never know!

    thanks guys, we have a photographer in mind and a few backups from all the photos and reviews here! we figure we'll be able to get what we want since were not planning on the wedding until june/july 2012 and our budget for the ceremony & reception is around 7k (absolute max 50 people).
