Blood test?

Okay, my Mom called me tonight, worried that I hadn't thought about getting a blood test before the wedding. 

I'm 99.99% sure you don't need one, but I figured I'd check with the experts.  Who's right?

How many states still require a blood test for a marriage license?  They discontinued that a long time ago in California.

Well, my curiosity was piqued, so I looked it up.  This website says only 4 states require a blood test.  Connecticut, Montana, Mississippi and Indiana.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it used to be to make sure that neither party had syphillis and to also make sure you didn't have the same DNA.
