All Night Long - DJs? Videography?

Hi Everyone,

It's the "other groom" checking in with a question for all of you Maggiano's brides.
All Night Long DJs are Maggiano's recommended DJ vendor - did anyone who used them have any issues with them? I'm trying to decide whether to factor in the cost of a DJ from a budget perspective when I'm deciding on the reception venue (other than Maggiano's we are considering Botero at the Wynn where we would not be able to use a DJ).

I would be comfortable making playlists in advance and just letting them run without a DJ, but then i wonder if it really is best to have a DJ who can judge the mood of the group and make decisions on the fly. Having a DJ also assures us of an MC to keep things flowing and to introduce the entrance, speeches, etc.

I also notice All Night Long offers other services. We've decided on Mike L for photography but are considering ANL for videography. Does anyone have any experience with their videography?

</div><div>We were anti-DJ at first; the price just didn't appeal to us. However, at the end of the day, we actually needed them to meet our room minimum at Maggiano's, and I'm so glad we did. We, as you might have guessed, used ANL Dj's, and they were fantastic---saved us from having to have one of our guests do our entrance, speech intros, etc. Our DJ definitely kept the night flowing in a way we wouldn't have known how to do.

Don't know about ANL but I've seen a lot of positive reviews of http://www.digsstudio.com/ for videography.

Hi!

I just used All Night Long at Maggiano's on June 26. I posted all of my reviews on here just a week ago if you want to check them out.

I loved them! They did a terrific job. I am very particular with music. I made a play list and do not play list just in case. He followed it and also played some of his own songs to go with the mood. It was great. He did a really nice job of introducing us and introducing toasts. I can't remember our particular Dj's name but he was way cool. Many of my guests are proffesional performers and he let us do our thing....like  my friend who is a rapper grabbed the mic and freestyled rap over one of the songs. : ) He was really getting into all of our performances. He also did an awesome job of playing a bunch of songs I requested in a row that I choreographed dances to.

We added basic dance lights and hot pink uplighting. That was also very nice! I didn't see the uplighting though until it was dark so I wouldn't get it if you aren't having a night reception.

That's what I figure... while it's possible without (as many couples here have mentioned), I think they just have an expertise that I wouldn't have. Glad to hear you were pleased with ANL - thanks for the info!

Hmm... still waiting to hear back from ANL with a quote, but with several of you having had positive experiences, did they ever provide you with an overall pricelist for all of their various services/add-ons that anyone wouldn't mind sharing?
