Salon/Hair & Make Up Suggestions

Anyone have any good suggestions or reviews for where to get hair and make up done? I'm getting married on the strip in May 2013. I've never been to any of the salons at the strip casinos, so I'm clueless. I don't know if I should go to a salon or have someone come to the room. Any recommendations are appreciated. I'm not from the area and won't be in Vegas until the wedding so I can't do trials! I'm really nervous about that.

For hair: I don't think I'll want an updo; I'd probably prefer to have my hair down. I might put clip-in extensions in, but I'm still undecided.
Make up: Looking to try airbrush if that will hold up in the late May heat.

My budget for both is about $300, although I'd love to spend less if possible. I think I'd prefer having someone come to the room, but I'll go somewhere else if it's really worth it.

We're staying at Planet Hollywood if that helps.

THANKS!

Re: Salon/Hair & Make Up Suggestions

  • Most brides get their Hair & Makeup done in room.  Would this be of interest to you? If so, there are tons of choices Glam Squad, Francesca, Harmony, Makeup in the 702, etc.  I would search the thread for "Hair & Makeup" or any or all of these names for some reviews.
You can also utilize Vegas Groom's awesome site that will give you a wealth more of information.

I myself am using Harmony Medina.  She is extremely reasonably priced and comes with great reviews!

    Good luck  :)
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • A trial run is also highly recommended; if your first encounter with whomever does your hair & makeup is on wedding day, you don't know if you're going to like how it turns out and then it's too late.

</div><div>I used Makeup in the 702; they were FANTASTIC to work with..if you mention Wedding Wire you get a small discount.  I paid $225 for both hair and makeup and they came to my room (which is MOST convenient)
