Am I crazy??

ok ladies, I just need your opinion on something. I have planned on wearing red high heels for the wedding for a long time (Christmas wedding and one of our colors is red). I've had them for a while now and they are comfortable for about 2 hours. However, I'll be standing up for a looong time on the wedding day and i really don't want to be uncomfortable. Here's the thing....I thought I could stick it out and just be uncomfortable and so I've already had my dress altered by Olga. BUT after a talk with my mom and sister this weekend, I'm re-thinking the heels. Am I crazy to go back and have olga re-hem my dress?? I'm short and the heels are high so I think I'd trip over my dress if I just went barefoot at the reception or got flats w/o altering the dress. What's a girl to do?

Have you tried walking around in your dress barefooted yet? I would try that prior to having Olga hem it again. If it's honestly too long for you, I would probably look into having her hem it shorter. Your other option though, would be to maybe get an insert for the shoes and see if that helps OR find another pair of shoes and a similar height that may be more comfortable.

Have you tried wearing the shoes around your house and just wear them for a while and see how you feel in them yet? I know my friends used to do that when they would get a new pair of shoes, that way they'd be used to them, plus the shoe was slightly broken in.

    Good luck though!! :)

Hey! I have gel inserts in the shoes and I've been practicing walking around the house in them too :) That's a good point about trying on the dress without the shoes. I never really wear heels and I guess for high heels they're pretty comfy, it's just whether they will still be comfy after 7+ hours lol.

See if you can find another shoe to change into and try that pair on with the dress. You may be able to walk comfortably with a slightly shorter heel without having to hem the dress again.
