Who's Paying?

My FI and I are paying about 95 % of the costs ourselves. My parents are giving us about 900 to spend how we want.

No word from FI parents about money. They gave us money for a down payment on our house, so i don't expect anything.

My mom and dad are each contributing an equal amount, and the same amount they gave to my sister for her wedding. We had to have a talk about it, which isn't the most comfortable conversation, but it was easy on me because my sister just got married in August, and they said they'd give me the same amount. Their contribution will cover about 40% of our wedding costs.

FI's family will probably not be able to contribute anything, and I would never think of asking. When we were planning at home, FIL said he would cover the rehearsal dinner, but now with the travel expenses, I'm not expecting that.

I think my mom was, at first, the tiniest bit miffed that she contributed so much, but FI's family isn't, but she realizes that not everyone has equal financial capability and that's just the way it is.

ETA: We had originally planned on paying for everything ourselves, but as our guest list grew and we had some big unexpected finances, we gratefully accepted my parent's donations.

our parents, thankfully.  We paid for our trip and a few extras though (decor, flowers)

My fiance and I are paying for everything.  There has been talk of his mom and dad paying for the rehearsal dinner, but if they don't that's fine.  My dad is giving us 5k after the wedding for whatever we want...we're going to put it toward the honeymoon.

My parents are paying for my dress and 50% of the reception the rest my FI and I are covering.
