Climate Affects in Skin?

I have been to Vegas a few times in the past 9 months, once in September, once in January and once in March.  When I go, my skin gets really dry and bumpy along my chin and jawline. I’ve been sticking to a more strict skin routine, and I am hoping it will help any issues I might have, but I was wondering for those of you have already had your wedding, if you had any issues, or have any pre wedding advise on how to alleviate gross skin for the wedding. I was thinking about getting a facial the day or two before the big day. Any other thoughts?

 TIA!

don't get a facial so close to the wedding!  a good esthetician will tell you to get one no sooner than 2 weeks before, and for my sensitive skin even that is to soon.  Before the wedding, suncreen (i use 'faces') and clinique moisturizer (esp at night) were my best friends.

Drink a lot of water starting a few days in advance too of course.

My nose bled almost every day too because it was so dry and I was on allergy medicine up until I left.  If there's some kind of nose spray that moisturizes I would get that too...

Our skin was very very dry in Vegas. We admit we did not drink a lot of water and alcohol was involved daily. It took a while even after getting home for our skin to be back to normal. When we were in Vegas someone recommended a product at Sephora that helps with dry skin in Vegas which we used and helped A LOT (even for the hubby who doesn't ever get complain or use "Dry Skin" things). Called "Brown Sugar" Brand at Sephora. The lip stuff was the best for our dry cracked lips. Drink water! Hope this helps.

YES!! I always extra moisturize my skin when I'm there. I use my daily moisturizer, Clinique then Smashbox photo finish foundation primer. Also, if you're able to get some free samples of Shiseido, Elixir Superieur- moisture recharge mask, I would highly recommend. Oh how it works wonders, esp., if you've had too much to drink the night before, it leaves your face with a glow.

If you are doing airbrush makeup, it's very important that your MU artist moisturizes your skin. I'd also carry a travel size evian mineral spray to keep your MU refreshed through out the day.

Also, something that really shocks me is the hotels do not have water softeners. After two days there my skin is do dry. Bring a really good moisturizer for total body as well.

lip gloss/chapstick, sunblock, moisturizers & if you have nose bleeds you can use saline spray to help keep it more moist.

Yep, we have really low humidity here most of the time.  Lotion up, hydrate well!  I usually lotion up at night so it soaks in while I sleep.  Eucerin is a good drugstore brand.

I've lived here several years and previously lived in Miami....my skin was hurting so bad! The only fix was Body Butter by Bliss
