Fall Brides!

Okay, I hope I'm not the only one that freaked out when I saw the leaves starting to change in our neighborhood? Two thoughts- ack! No time left! Must work on details! And also- Crap! What if they all fall off before the wedding? It will look like winter.

This is irrational bride-fears, I know. Just thought I would share.

Umm.  Yes.

I went home last weekend and kept saying WHY is that tree full of orange leaves! 

And, see ticker, the panic will come soon, I fear.

I spent the morning calming myself with fall-foliage/average weather reports from last year. History is in our favor!

My friend's mom says if you place a raw egg at each corner of your property you'll get the weather you want for your event (old Jamaican wisdom.) I'm thinking of putting my eggs out early.

Hmm... it wasn't specified but I think it's your property. I actually did this once before- for my engagement party. Nikki's mom probably wouldn't have condoned me breaking into my engagement party location (which was during the giant snowstorm in December of last year that managed to miss Chapel Hill... totally blame the eggs.)

Ok now you have me all worried! MY whole ceremony is under a big tree that I was expecting to be al fall colored so I'm not doing any other decorations!

Oh, I know...it is crazy to think that the leaves are already changing some!  It really throws things into perspective on how fast our weddings are quickly approaching!!!  Yaayyy!

C - I completely understand the no time!  I feel like everything in the world is happening this freaken weekend!  I have 9 days (really 6 before we leave) to do everything and with everything going on, I am freaking out!  At least I am not alone

Alyson- You're not alone, I'm totally freaking out with you. And you're so close! I bet there's a point right before where it stops being stressful and starts being exciting (instead of both.) At least, I hope so!

Mary- I'm actually not sure at all- I think you can put the eggs out whenever. Honestly it's probably more about mental well-being than actual weather-control, but I will use all the juju/mojo I can get. I say put new eggs out weekly!

I love that tree.  When I worked at summer camp there we'd climb it.

i am hating it too!  I really wanted to get married in October for the leaves as well but the venue only had opening in nov!! LOL i was oping for the leaves to still be in!!  OH well  i am going to do plain white lights on the trees and inside do the same with some bare branches white lights and my purple, brown and amber decor!!  All your wedding will look awsome no matter what!!!
