FrankensteinsGirl - Reception???

Hi FG,

Was looking at your wedding planner site and noticed you are having your reception @ Stripburger - is that still a go?  How is it $$$-wise? Do they have a semi or private dining option?

Thx - M

yes still a go!  They do have a private room but the guest count must be below 32 I think.  We're planning for more so so far we'll be on the patio/public.  If less come we'll definitely opt for the private room.  Prices are great, imo.  They have a menu for $20pp and drinks for 2 hours was $20pp too- if I remember correctly.

We actually opted to choose our own menu and pay menu prices but I loved that we had the option for either!  The cake cutting fee was something like $3pp but with the prices we were looking at we were ok with that (but if you choose their preset menu it includes a dessert).

We paid a 100 deposit that goes towards our final bill.  As of now we have a menu that includes three options.  After RSVPs come in we'll have to contact them; the chef was concerned with three options for 50 guests might be a time issue so we'll see once the final count is in.  We might do 2 options OR the three with no substitutions.  We love this place when we visit Vegas and it's one of the places we went on our first vacation together ever so it holds a special place in our hearts too :)

  • That is awesome, I have only about 15 in mind to invite and hop they come... what is their private room like, can you pass on the contact?

My FI wants to have pie as our 'wedding cake' lol so now I have to find a vendor that does mini pies and I may do one small 2 tier cake... or fake it :D

Prices sound great!!! And I like places that get raved about, where exactly is Stripburger? (it will be a first time trip for me and FI)
  • I'll see if I can find the pic of the room and post it :)  We are considering cupcakes and still pay the fee so just keep that in mind :)  Its in the fashion show mall (but really it's not IN it, we found it walking along the strip- the entrance is on the strip/street level).  http://stripburger.com/

It not fancy by any means, but it's perfect for us :) I contacted them through the site and the person I've been working with is Kori :)

  • I went to the site - it is right outside Maggiano's (not that I know where that is either, I just have looked at that area since everyone recommends it for receptions)

I am looking for casual and fun, too fancy is not us either, I cannot sit still long enough LOL

I am totally okay with paying an outside vendor fee for pie, cake or whatever! lol  Oooh okay I see Kori also does the planning for another place too... La Salsa Cantina I think?

  • Yes, I think she plans for another place but I can't remember which one.  She's been GREAT to work with. :)  We're only doing 2 hours for food/cake maybe a toast depending on location etc and then 2 hours on the DDB (with lots of drinks!). :)  It fits us perfectly (and our budget too) :)
