Hotel with the Best View

I am wondering which hotel has the best view of the strip... the entire strip... it doesn't have to be up close on the strip like I have seen from some of the suite, but the entire strip even from afar...

Any suggestions?

I could see almost the entire strip from The Platinum Hotel. It was such a great view. This was the view from my suite. My mom had a room in the part of the building to the right, and she could see the whole strip.

I'm sure you could also see the whole strip from The Palms and Mandalay Bay. You could definitely see it all (though farther away) from the Stardust Suite at the Orleans.

The picture at the top of my website, vegasgroom.com, is the view from a Mandalay SkyView suite on what I think was the 56th floor.  You can see most of the strip but the city center hotels (Aria, Vdara, Mandarin) are tall enough that you won't see any of Cosmo, Caesars, Mirage or TI, I think Wynn/Encore will be obstructed by Palazzo too.  They'd be pretty small from there anyway though.  I think for an on-strip hotel, Mandalay will give you the nicest picture.  All of the north-end hotels have similar issues but also don't have the stratosphere tower in the background so I still prefer south looking north.

Cosmo won't really work because their tower with the wraparound balcony suites is not tall enough; if you have a north side room, caesars will block your view of most anything past it on that side, i.e. Mirage and TI, Palazzo  blocks out the Wynn and then you won't be able to see anything but MGM and Aria to the south.  If you have a south facing room, you still only see mostly MGM and Aria, Vdara and Mandarin and now you're north-facing view is blocked.

For off-strip, Palms and Rio will give you the nicest view; you'd need a very wide angle lens from Rio so Palms might be better even though its farther away.
