After reading Ricki's disaster at Mandalay Bay, I thought I would just give the Knotties a bit of advice/warning. I work at a hotel, but before I did, I had no idea how this works. It is not hard to figure out, but if there is someone who rented your suite the night before you are looking to check-in, you will most likely NOT get an early check-in, no matter what anyone tells you. In Vegas, most people are not checking out until 11am or Noon, which means Housekeeping cannot ckean the room until then. It will take them over an hour to clean a suite (it takes 30 mins to clean a standard room at my hotel) So 2 or 3pm or even later is likely. At my hotel, if we need a specific room cleaned, we can communicate with Houskeeping and make it happen. However, at these resorts, they don't care what rooms are needed unless you are a high roller.
SO-- My advice is to rent the room the night before you need it just to be safe.
Also-- if you don't want Housekeeping knocking on your door in the morning or entering your room when you are gone, place the do not disturb sign on the door and they will not bother you. You will not get your room cleaned, but your items will be safe and you wont be bothered by the knocking on the door every 30 minutes. You can always call down and ask for extra towels, coffee, etc...
Hope this helps everyone!!!
