I went dress shopping with my MOH this weekend in Charlotte. I took Knottie suggestions and went to Dar-Lynns.....
I FOUND MY DRESS!!!!!!
Ok so I tried on like 10 dresses and found one like really liked and thought could this be the dress(?) after that we were like is this all the dresses you have...the girl helping us said no we have a few more rooms....walked through them found a few more..last room was a the sale room and we went to my size. My MOH pulled this dress out and said what you do think--my reaction was like eggghh. She said for the price you have to try it on.
In dressing room---tried on all of them --last dress was the sale dress.
TRIED IT ON and.......
there was all this fabric; we were really confused then realized this dress is long sleeves , wait, what!!!! but this was after I had the dress on! I was really not liking this dress at that point and wanted to take it off! But my wonderful MOH sees things I can't and she had the bright idea of taking off the sleeves! we pinned the sleeves back making it strapless and I walked out to look in the mirrors!
My MOH got a veil shoulder length and I wasn't thrilled then changed it out for a birdecage veil! I didn't want to take it offf---it was so vintage and classy. Not even the sales ppl reallized it was long sleeves til we told them (except the one girl that monitors inventory).
called mommy on the phone described the dress and she was like buy it now!! I love it...
its trumpet fit, lace overlay, ivory, button up back (despite I wanted a corsett), fits like it was tailored to my body, beautiful train!!!
for those who may wonder
cost of dress right under $2000
my price $350
total after tax w/veil $530.
and no i didnt get the "this is the dress feeling at first" after looking at myself in the mirror for about 5min I did start to feel like that. after i got it home i got more like that.
EXCITED AND ALL SMILES
I LOVE MY DRESS!!
