Larger reception venue that allows outside vendors...

Hi everyone,
I am *thinking*  of changing our venue location from an MB in-suite to accomodate more guests. I am thinking 120 guests, somewhere near or on the strip that would allow outside catering (I have MC booked and woud like to keep my pretty large deposit if possible).
Does this exist? I kind of doubt it, as I have not found anything in my search... I'd also be open to finding a venue that is around $80pp including alcohol...again I'm assuming this does not exist. :)

Have you thought about renting out a private house?  I know that on vrbo and homeaway they have some pretty big houses/mansions for rent.  I rented one just down the street from MB (about 2.5 to 3 miles) and it's super affordable.   Some are set up for weddings too.  Just a though.
I know that meatauditor rented an awesome place too!

    Good Luck!!

Mango- thanks for the message. I've actually been looking into private mansions. Would you mind sharing where you are staying? You can PM me if you'd like. Thanks!

I'm so sorry! I went through a similar freak out. Hopefully the mansion route would work out for you. I'll also reccomend my place- The Platinum Hotel. No outside catering, but depending on how long of a reception you were looking at, I think you could manage $80 per person. I'm looking at around $110/pp but that includes 5 hours of open bar.

Def. try Charlie's places through VRBO.  In particular, if you rent his "tropical estate", you can also get the guest house (for extra $$) and there is tons and tons of space outdoors as well as a room inside that's been used for ceremonies in the past.  I didn't like the carpet colors in this one, but the event is outside, so it doesn't really matter to me.

We went with his "French villa" because it suited our style more.  It only does events up to 80.  Others on TK have reccomended working with him before I booked.  He's getting quite the reputation.  It would be an easy way to keep MC, too.

He has a 3 night minimum, and does charge an event fee depending on the size of the party.  Outdoor music must be off by 10 pm.  He's laid back and mostly wants you to clean up after yourself.
