How long to wait for show discounts.

We are attempting to avoid doing anything at full price on our upcoming trip and that includes shows.

Through smarter vegas we got Blue Man Goup at a dicount and I'm trying to find Le Reve but am only finding full price for our week.

My question is do we:
A. buy them because we want decent seats,
B. Wait for a new promo, or
C. Wait until we get to Vegas and try and find a discount..

It's my first trip so I'm not entirely sure how it works once we get out there.

It depends. Sometimes the hotel where the show is located offers deals. Also there are ticket booths on the strip, but I cannot recall the name of them, and they sell discounted dayof show tickets up to half off.

and if you go to their website, I believe they have coupons that you can print too.
they don't post what's for sale on their website because it changes, but I've purchased some really good deals there.

Vegas has a ton of half off ticket stands. I don't know if you actually get a good deal compared to online rates but its definitely less than you would pay at the box office.

I think you're thinking of the Tix4Tonight stands scattered around the Strip.  You have to line up at them pretty early to ensure you get tickets for the more popular shows.  FI and I didn't use them ourselves when we visted Vegas on our first trip.  I didn't want to potentially spend so much time waiting in line, so we just bought all our tickets ahead of time with any promos available from Smarter Vegas or Travel Zoo.  Are you set on seeing Le Reve...I hear O is a similar show and I thought O was fantastic and I think promos for it come up more often.

I don't know if the impatient planner in me can wait until we get there to purchase them, I get nervous just thinking about it lol.

I'll definitely check out tix4tonight, and just general search for any other promos.

We were debating between all of the cirque shows and it came down to Le Reve and O but the price was the deciding factor. We only have two nights free after the wedding so we booked BMG for Wednesday since LR doesn't run that night and it conflicts with the O showings. So now we're a little stuck.

We always use Vegas.com, we tried tix4 and were disappointed with the $3 savings we had from the vegas.com price (because they were onsale online) and vegas.com had better seats.    Depending when you are going they have up to may onsale now.

Also if you stay at the hotel, they usually give you discounts for keeping your shows in house. So you can also call the hotel box office and ask.

VG how long will I have to play the penny slots for them to comp me a show?

Kiki that makes me feel a little better about not waiting.. Vegas.com did have the lowest price I found so hopefully I can talk J into it.

ETA: I'm a moron.. I work for a big name bank and one of my coworkers reminded me about corporate discounts and there was Le Reve,  $117 a pop for premium seats. Thankfully BMG wasn't as good of a deal as I got through smarter vegas so I'm not too upset I didn't find this earlier.
