We are meeting with two bakerys. One is in Greensboro and is called Maxie B's. I have heard nothing but good things about them. The staff is awesome.

I also will be going to a place in Kernersville called Cake and all things yummy. I have a friend of mine who is using them and has nothing but good things to say about the employees and cake.

We are getting our cake from Ketchie Creek. We got several types to "taste test" on our own and they were delicious! They also came highly recommended. Here is their website:

Let us know about the bakery in Kernersville! That is where I am located, and am very curious about them! They seem to have delicious cakes!

I have heard great things about Ketchie Creek and Cakes and all things Yummy. I had a cake tasting with Christy Taylor of Gourmet Yummy and it was delicious! We tried her red velvet, vanilla cake with caramel buttercream, and Devils' Food cake with canolli cream filling and butter cream frosting. They were all delicious! Definitely recommend her.

We're going with Ketchie Creek.  A close second was Lisa Smithdeal at Cumberland Cafe-- apparently she has LOTS of flavors to choose from, but we never got as far as the tasting because fiance was sold on KC.

Dewey's will look nice, but as far as people going "wow, this cake tastes great!"...meh. not likely.

I've had cake from Cakes by Manfred, also out of Kernersville. His cake and icing have a light fluffy taste and texture.

Mrs. Pumpkins is, I believe, the cheapest.

We are thinking about using julie watson @ simply scrumptious. She works out of Basil & Co. She left us come in and try "mini cakes" of all the flavors we wanted and sent us home with leftovers and truffles!
