does anyone have any experience getting their make-up one ANYWHERE in the QCA? Merle Norman? Erin Sedon (the ONE makeup artist in the area) a counter at Yonkers or Von Maur?


HELP!!   I am planning from 700 miles away and will prolly only be home 2 more times before the wedding...I have to use a lot of recommendations from other people!

Shangri La in Moline, IL has a great package and that is who I am using.  It is like $200 or $230 and it includes a 90 minute massage, 1 hour facial, trial hair, trial make up, and then day of hair, and make up.  My wedding isn't until August, but this salon has a fantastic reputation, and so far has been wonderful to work with.  Any other questions, let me know! I can only imagine how tough it is to plan a wedding from so far away!

ditto to Shangri La.  My stylist of 8 years works there and will be a guest at my wedding (out of town - in Burlington) and will do my hair for me there...thank goodness!!  Their bridal packages are fantastic and if I were going to be in the QC for my wedding, I'd snag the package Megan spoke of.

Shangri La also offers a $125 Bridal package with trial hair, hair, make-up and a spa mani/pedi.

They have a BM package for $115 for hair, make-up, mani/pedi (not spa)

Erin Seddon is awesome and so sweet! She did a spray tan on me and I was super impressed with her. I am having a friend (who happens to work at the clinique counter) do my makeup for my wedding. I would trust the girls at the Von Maur counter, I know most of them and they are all amazing. But I think Erin is definitely worth the money.
