Venue in Wilmington

I know there are a couple girls on here planning beach weddings in NC and I just wanted to say I went to a wedding this past weekened at the Cape Fear Riverdeck and it was awesome! I don't know who catered but the location was fabulous, the food was fabulous, the view is right on the water, and the groom said the price wasn't too steep.

Just wanted to add that in there in case anyone is interested! Hope everyone had a great 4th!

PS I totally did NOT straight up ask the groom how much it was, he just volunteered that tid-bit about it being reasonable. Just read over my post and was thinking my etiquette skills might be questioned. :-P

I loveee the river deck! That was our first choice but they were booked on our date. They are very very reasonably priced, and you can choose your own caterer.

The River Deck is a beautiful location. I've seen some pictures from florists & my caterer who have done wedding receptions there and they all look great. And the waterfront view doesn't hurt at all. :P

Was it the Riverdeck or a restaurant or event facility down there?  I've been looking, but everything seems small.  Was there alot of room where you where?

Nope the river deck holds about 80 ppl (if I remember correctly).  The biggest facilities downtown are Balconey on Dock, St. Thomas Preservation Hall, USO building, Coastline Convention Ctr, and the new convention center that isn't built yet.

Yes, definitely the River Deck and I do believe there were around 75 people there. It looked like they could extend it a bit though, into Elijah's Restaurant's deck.

I'm having my wedding at the Riverdeck.  If you want to have food, it has to be through Elijahs.  They also can extend into other areas, they seem to be able to hold a ton of people.

There's a new reception place called "128 South Events" which is a block away.  It can only reasonably seat about 120 people, but it is a beautiful place.
