Across the board, we LOVED EVERYONE we worked with!
Venue: Ocean Edge Golf Resort - We got married on the beach, which was absolutely beautiful. You can't control beach goers 4th of July weekend, but the OE staff did a GREAT job to keep them out of our ceremony.
We had our reception in the Carriage House and we had the ENTIRE building to ourselves. The food was AMAZING, we had stations (Cape Cod, Mediterranean and Pasta). We're been getting nothing but compliments on the food, our guests went up for 2nds and 3rds!
We had an open bar, for what was only supposed to be for 4 hours, but our bartender was FANTASTIC and he kept it open the whole 5 hours.
Heather at OE was GREAT to work with. We were a pretty low maintenance couple, but the day of we were running a little behind and she was completely cool and collected.
Photographer: Shoreshotz Photography - Amanda was AMAZING to work with!!! I cannot say enough good things about her, but I'll try :-) My husband HATES having his pictures taken, so I was nervous when we had our engagement session with her last fall. We took pictures for 5-6 hours in Somerville, Boston and Fenway Park and he LOVED working with her. She's so fun and bubbly and excited about life that it's infectious and you can't help but smile when you're around her.
On our wedding day she was awesome! I had told her I wanted to submit our wedding to some blogs, and she went above and beyond to get the right shots (I can't wait to see all of them!). Our guests were commenting on how great she was DURING the wedding just because she was so sweet. Then we got a few sneak peeks that night/the next day and everyone was in awe.
DJ: Keith Lemire - He was SO great! I got compliments on the music from the cocktail hour, to dinner, to when the party started. My husband and I left for a short while to grab some sunset pictures and when we returned no one was dancing, which was a little disappointing. Then I went out to the patio of the Carriage house, and almost EVERYONE was out there because they had JUST stopped dancing and were grabbing some air. He had some competition with the weather/sunset/fireworks people wanted to be outside. But luckily he had set up speakers outside, and EVERYONE could enjoy the music. Once we did get the party started again, it was just great song after great song after great song. It was a blast!
Cake: Casual Gourmet - Our cake was included in our package from OE. We had cupcakes instead of an actual cake. And for our cake topper, I brought the bakers some photos of bride and groom bulldogs. We have an english bulldog who couldn't be in the wedding, and we wanted him to be a part of the wedding. The cake was AMAZING (red velvet and lemon both with buttercream frosting) and the cake topper was ADORABLE! It was truly unique and very us.
Flowers: Meredith Fancy - We only had flowers for our bouquets, corsages and boutineers, and some aisle decorations. My bouquets were STUNNING. I had asked for mostly pale pink peonies with ranuclus and some garden roses. But she told me since it was so late in the peony season, so I had low expectations on the peonies. Well she COMPLETELY delivered! My bouquet, and my bridesmaids was like 90% peonies and they were SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL! AND HEAVY! I had NO idea they would be so heavy, I love my bouquet ALMOST as much as I love my new husband :-)
Makeup: Brenda with Chatham Beauty - Brenda did an AWESOME job on me and my entire bridal party! It was HOT and we were sweating it up on the beach and the dance floor and our makeup didn't go anywhere! Even when I was bawling my eyes out most of the day...but that's another story for another day! Her prices were REALLY reasonable, so don't believe Lisa George when she tells you that you won't find anyone on the Cape who will come to you for less than her. It's a load of bull.
I had a friend from home do everyone's hair, so the prices were much more affordable.
I did my own centerpieces, escort cards and favors.
