Chocolate Fountains?

Hey Ladies, I was wondering if anyone has used (or looked into) a company on the Cape that does Chocolate fountains for receptions. My best friend is getting married (I'm MOH) and she recently had to cut her fountain to save money (her and her FI are paying for everything). She was devasted, so I thought it would be great to have the bridal party pitch in money to make this happen for her. She was quoted $1000, which seems like a lot, but I never looked into this before. I was hoping to get one for around $500, does that sound realistic? Also, does anyone know if they come with strawberries, or do we have to provide thos ourselves? Thanks Knotties!

I know our venue offers it - they charge per person and I believe it's about $7 per person.  We haven't decided if we're going to do it yet but it sounds really fun.  Good luck!

My friend had a DIY wedding last year and bought a chocolate fountain from BJ's (amazon and overstock probably carry them too).  They decorated the base and bought all the food themselves and it came out looking pretty professional.  I think in total it ended up being under $300.  Good luck!
