***lewisc2002***

HI! I was rereading old posts for hair salons/stylists, and found your post on Oceanside. I just found them through a google search, but was concerned because there's no mention of their pricing whatsoever. I absolutely want a trial, but wasn't planning on doing trials for my two maids (one lives in VA). Do you have to do a trial to get a quote for the day of services? How much did your trial cost?

Thanks so much!!!

    Hi BelmoreATC,

The info below is a little scrambled b/c i had typed it out for someone else already. But they are open on Sundays and/or will travel to you (which was the concern of the person I sent this to). They have a folder they can snail mail you with all the info, but I copied this info from my package:

$100 deposit - and you have to finalize your contract with them (which includes the # of people and the types of hairdos) by one month prior to the wedding day
$10 extra per person to open the salon after hours (this includes Sunday)
$10-20 extra per person to travel - for Brewster, it's $10, for Orleans to Dennis it's $15, and outside of that, it's $20
$5 extra per person for parties under 5

The trial: hair from $45 (it's $55 for an updo) and make-up from $30 (but mine, even after-hours, were just $55 and $30)

    The day of:
Bride hair: from $75 (i bet it's $85 for an updo, although this is my own conjecture)
    Bridal party updo $55
Blow dry: short $30  long $40

    Make-up $60 for the bride and I assume all-around

    Spa manicures $45 (!)
    Spa pedicures $40
    French style is $5 extra

If you call or email them, they'll mail you the package/folder with all this info. They seem super-accommodating.

    HTH!

oh, and as for your main question: they only need you to do the trial - the rest can just show the day of.

    lewisc~

Thank you so much for all of this information!! Really helpful! It's crazy, I had the pp about 3 updos with the extra cost for a Sunday wedding coming out to $400. When I add up the extra per person for opening Sunday and the extra per person for not having 5 in my party, after I include a standard 20% tip it comes out to be more than the first salon.

One last question, the $100 deposit, does it count toward anything or is it just the insurance that you're booking them for that day? If that $100 is recouped in any way then this salon is a steal.

Thanks again for sending all of the specs for me!!!!
Hope you had a great Easter, and happy Monday!
    Dawn :)

the $100 counts towards your services the day of. I thought it was super reasonable, considering i was prepared to spend $250 for hair and makeup the day of (not including tip).
    GL with everything!
