The early bird catches the worm and that means major checks!!!

So last week while I was on vacation I decided to meet with as many vendors as possible! I found my (NEW) wedding planner cause I had to fire my old one for being unprofessional and rude, found my dj and got a great deal since im having a Sunday wedding. I also met with Lyn at Fresh Affairs and he exceeded my expectations. He knew what I wanted and put it all in my proposal. Problem was that the first proposal he sent me was double my flower budget. I told him I still wanted the wow factor with the flowers I love but I knew I would have to make some sacrifices to get it to fit in the budget. He asked me what I wanted to spend and made sure every flower I wanted in my bouquet was still there and just cut back on a few of the ceremony decor and got me UNDER budget. I love him! So right now I have my photographer, dj, venue, florist, and dress.  Checks are being signed this week and mailed out. My wedding might be a year away but I am def. on top of the ball and can finally relax!

Wow you really did get a lot done! I've been  kind of afraid to jump into this wedding planning thing. I felt like it was  too early but now after reading your post I'm way behind!!! Thanks

i think i would be more concerned about whats in the flowers that you didn't ask for.  that's where you get cheappy stuff as filler.

Yea luckily I got to keep my flowers I just made my bouquets smaller and the centerpieces smaller. I would def. choose someone else if it wasn't what I really wanted because im super picky and I don't want anything to look cheap and ugly. I don't need the crystals hanging from the centerpieces like my friend was telling the florist to add. Im pretty easy as long as it looks like what I envisioned and not a freak show.

Thats awesome...I'm just a few months ahead of you in terms of the date..but I feel like you are way ahead of me and I have some major checks.  No florist and dress yet but everything else.

Its such a great feeling to get those checks!!

Yay checks! I loved every time I booked a big vendor, I felt the weights just lifting away... Congrats on the floral budget, also! That was probably my biggest fear going into planning because everyone says how expensive flowers are and whatnot. A good florist is a great find.

I have Michael Moss at my photographer and Tyler Rhodes from Anything music dj is doing my lighting and dj'ing.
