orleans inn

I thought I had my venue narrowed down, but I just found the Orleans Inn online. I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback or even pics on this venue. That would be greatly appreciated thanks

    Hi,

I visited the Inn a few months ago - great location... and you can't beat the deck outside. We decided not to use it though because the ballroom just felt a bit too small, and we were a bit concerned that they would not be able to accomodate our size. You can't beat the location though... true, they are right off a busy road, but that means there are lots of hotels and restaurants nearby for your guests.

    Best,

    Sarah

We got engaged there, and I thought that it wouild be the spot for our reception as well, but to be honest we were kind of disappointed. It just seemed that there would be too many non-wedding people milling around. A friend had their rehearsal dinner there andf= was supposed to have the whole downstairs booked. However, the restaurant was busy so they started seating restaurant guests downstairs as well. No apologies, no discount, no refund.

Unfortunately I've heard not so good things about it either - way overpriced and reception is in an unattractive basement.  That being said the ceremony looks nice held outside overlooking the bay.

What was the venue that you were comparing it to?

Thanks ladies for the feedback. The other venue that we looked at is the Hyannis Yacht Club, I think that's where we might end up I just wasn't 100% sure yet.

We were also eating dinner there one night, seated by the windows overlooking the deck during a wedding reception. Some of the guests/wedding party were getting stoned outside our windows, in the corner where they keep a boat behind a fence. It was quite charming, eating an expensive dinner and getting high on the fumes.

This is probably too late, but I'm getting married there in 6 months and can't wait! We're having a small gathering, about 80 people, and will fit perfectly downstairs. The windmill overlooking the waters of Town Cove makes for a great ceremony site. The food while overpriced for a regular meal is one of the most reasonable I've found on the Cape for our reception, especially for the quality of food! It was the only venue I found directly on the water (though not the bay) that I didn't have to sacrifice what I wanted on the menu to keep it within the budget and includes a ton of extras (ceremony chairs, linens, dinnerware, sound system, transportation) that I won't have to spend money renting. I'll be sure to post reviews after it's all said and done.  :)
