Pelham House Resort??

Has anyone looked at or had their reception at the Pelham House Resort in Dennis? I'm trying to find a nice, cost-effective, place to have a tented reception outdoor on the beach for about 175 people.

I looked into this place and loved it!  I chose not to have it there for reasons that had nothing to do with them.  The manager of the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful - knows the area and all about weddings - he may have had his own daughters wedding there - can't remember.  They also have a house in the back that you can rent out for your whole wedding party - but you have to rent that through a separate real estate group.  Good luck!

I also looked into Pelham we loved it there & it is really beautiful but it isn't cost effective. You have the site fee, tent rental, catering etc. It is really nice and they are very friendly if it fits your budget!

I had a horrible time with the management there when I was trying to book rooms for my wedding. We got married at the Lighthouse Inn this past June, and visited the Pelham House Resort in the fall of 2009 to reserve rooms for our guests. The manager, John,  seemed friendly and reliable and blocked off 20 rooms for my guests. He even printed and sent me confirmation of this block. After I sent my save the dates out in November, I heard from some of my guests that the Pelham didn't have any rooms blocked for our wedding. John basically washed his hands of this issue and tried to refer me to a lower class hotel down the street. Apparently last fall someone booked their wedding at the Pelham after I had reserved rooms, so they threw my reservation out.

Just beware... John is nice, but very unprofessional and unreliable.

The Lighthouse Inn, on the other hand, is fantastic! You should check it out!

I am getting married at the Pelham House this June.  If you are still interested, I can give you further information on my experience thus far.

I noticed you also are from CT.  Planning a wedding from 4 hours away has been challenging but the Pelham House and my caterer have been great!
