Reception Centerpieces

I'm struggling on what to do for centerpieces for my June 16th wedding on Cape Cod.  I do know that there will be a square mirror on the table with tea candles at each corner.  I'm struggling with what the centerpiece should look like and what flowers to use.  I also know that I don't want to spend a fortune, I'll be having approxiamately 18 tables.

Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated.

june has peonies available... which are beautiful.  You could go as simple as a couple of peonies in a low cube vase  or whatever you want.  They are such gorgeous flowers they stand on their own...

agree with the previous post and i love your mirror with votive idea. one warning (which may not be a problem) - we used white/cream peonies - except when they opened, abotu 60% had yellow petals in the middle! this didn't go with our scheme at all and we had to scramble last minute for a replacement. If you do use peonies, maybe ask the florist whether it is common for peonies to have different colors in the center so you can plan.

Are you set on flowers? To keep costs down we used other things for our centerpieces like: lighthouses, lanterns, seahorse candle holders. Depending what your theme is, there are many low cost options for alternative centerpieces at the Christmas Tree Shops. We bought much of our decor there and people loved our decorations! If you definitely want to use flowers, a nice vase filled with small rocks or marbles with one sunken flower and a floating candle at the top can also add a nice touch with reduced costs. Hope this helps!
