NWR: Where to go/stay for anniversary trip?

Hi All,

I am from CT and looking to plan our 1 year anniversary trip. I was interested in visiting Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, or any other suggestions you have (relaxing, beach, bikes, golf). We have never been to any of these places, and was just looking for any recommendations you have as far as areas to stay, and accomodations.

TIA!

Oh, so many great choices on the Cape!  Personally, I'm partial to Chatham and Nantucket.  Although a bit pricey, Chatham Bars Inn is gorgeous and perfect for a romantic getaway.  And if you're into golf, there's a public course right behind CBI.  There's also the Cranberry Inn, which is a cute B&B on Main St. - we stayed there in January and they had the most delicious pineapple muffins! ;)

Nantucket is also gorgeous.  I've stayed at a lot of different places there, but I think my favorites were the Cottages at the Boat Basin and the North Wharf Cottages.  You just can't beat their location right near the harbor and Main St.  There are also a lot of cute B&B's on the island (I loved Seven Sea Street).  There's always plenty to do there - whether it be window shopping on Main St., taking a bike ride on one of the bike trails, or relaxing on the beach at Brant Point as you watch the boats and ferries coming into the harbor.  It's just beautiful there.

Good luck planning your trip!  If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. :)

Thanks so much for your help. I'm glad you mentioned Chatham Bars Inn. I think I narrowed it down to the Chatham Bars Inn and the Wequassett. Any more info or suggestions for either of these?

I've never stayed at the Wequassett, but from what I've seen and heard it's beautfiul.  One thing to keep in mind though is that Wequassett is a little bit removed from downtown Chatham.  CBI is nice because you can easily walk to Main St.
