wedding invitations/flowers

Can anyone recommend an online or local Cape business to do wedding invitations? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on where to get AFFORDABLE wedding flowers?

I second Karen Bryden.  She has been fantastic to work with, and very reasonably priced!  She is great especially if you are stupid about flowers like I am.  I talked with countless florists, and she was the only one who created a "vision" for the wedding instead of just asking me what flowers I wanted.  I can't wait to see what she creates for us!

She did the flowers for Kikibird's wedding this past Saturday, hopefully when she gets back next week she'll have some pictures for us to see  Laughing

Oh, and for invitations, check out www.123print.com

I got 140 invitations and response cards (with envelopes) for under $100.  We just printed direction cards and accomodation information on our own to include.  We've gotten nothing but compliments about them!  They don't have any fancy invitation styles (just 5x7 invites and standard response card) but you can get a variety of cardstock - the 80# paper is a great weight, very sturdy.

A third vote for Karen Bryden. She works well within your budget and is really nice and enthusiastic.

I'm making my own invites, so can't help you there.

Local Invitations - not sure how Cape-Cod-y you want but Marty Kelly is very Cape Cod [http://www.martykellynantucket.com/] as well as Dulce Press [www.dulcepress.com/" class="l vst" onmousedown="return clk(this.href,'','','res','1','&sig2=tca_eF-5psfkzFep0CK55A','0CA4QFjAA')">www.dulcepress.com].  I ended up working with MPrints Design which were great [www.mprintsdesign.com/]

Karen Bryden is doing my flowers in June. She's the only florist I met with who gave me everything I wanted within my strict budget. She's awesome - she's even helping me with some other DIY decorations I had ideas about! AND she brought cake samples to my house!!

havent gotten to flowers yet. however have started working with cyndi swan from lady slipper stationary, and i can not say enough wonderful things about her. she is amazing and so helpful!! 100% recommend her! let me know if you have any other questions

I used a stationary shop in my hometown for invites.  For flowers, I used Meredith Fancy and thought her prices were reasonable (and she did not have a minimum).

I second Cyndi.  We loved her.  If it werent for the fact that we can get invitations cheaper from Lujean, (we know the owner) we'd definitely get our invites from her.  She was great to work with.

We're getting our flowers from a seller on Etsy.

I'm another person using Karen for my flowers. I'm spending about $480 for my bouguet, three groomsmen, three bridesmaids, five ushers, two dads and two moms. I"m really excited about what she has planned for us, and the best thing about her is that she only books one wedding per day. I don't know if other florists do that but I feel like that's rare. Also, she was just as excited for our $500 sale as she was for the $5,000 sale for a wedding she described to us. For the two flower girls I'm saving some money by cutting off two hydrangea blooms off of my mom's bushes and putting them in two cute wooden baskets from Christmas Tree Shop. HTH!

P.S. She works in the same room as a wedding cake bakery (Cape Cod Cakes) so if you're looking for a reasonably priced wedding cake you can hit two birds with one stone (that's what we did!).

May be a little late on this post but just wanted to recommend Jen from www.sunderlandsstudios.com. I'm in charge of the invitations for my friends wedding and Jen is doing the invites with coordinating place cards, menu cards, programs and thank you notes. She is very creative and helpful! Hope this helps and good luck in your search :-)
