Hey Ladies, I'm getting married next April at the Seaview. I've thought about Clancy's for a rehearsal dinner, would you recommend any other restaurtants? We'll have about 30-40 people. Thanks ahead of time!
I had a hard time getting in touch with Clancy's - they didn't seem too interested in the business we were willing to give them!
We ended up having our rehearsal at The Skipper Restaurant in South Yarmouth and it was a huge hit! Alan, the manager, is very easy to work with and provided us with a private room off to the side of the venue. The only thing with this place is that you pay menu prices, there are no special function menus or deals.
The Lighthouse Inn also does rehearsal dinners. We had our reception there, and although we didn't get to eat anything (still sad about that!) people said the food is spectacular. And you really can't beat the view!
I'm getting married at The Sew View in May 2011 I remember she said they we're affiliated with Ebb Tide Restaurant which is a few buildings down. Call Gail I'm sure she'll give you the info and any other ideas about RHD there.
Ebb Tide is great as well. Ebb Tide is more like an old sea captain's house, and Ocean House is more modern. I don't think you could go wrong either way. OH has a direct ocean view, but it will cost more than ET. OH has a younger crowd as well, while ET is an older crowd. I have eaten at both and love them both.
It may be a little further down 28 than you want to go, but we had our rehearsal dinner at DiParma's Italian Table in Yarmouth. The food was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed (minus a small incident with a rude waitstaff that was quickly dealt with by management - we have been there numerous times for dinner and never had that same experience before).
Clancy's has changed hands, but Clancy's Fish and Chips on Lower County, now called Chapin's Fish and Chips does rehersal dinners as does Chapin's Restaurant in Dennis off 6A
We are hosting our RD at the Ocean House and getting married at the Lighthouse Inn, which is just a couple of miles away. the food is great and the martini's are even better. they offer you the restaurant for an hour before they open which will be nice for everyone coming in and getting settled, appetizers and any speeches that you may want to do. we are hosting for 20 people.
we met with a manager from clancys fish and chips ( now chapins) he was awesome and very accomodating! they are going to put a tent on the grass so we can have privacy
