I booked almost all of my vendors based on reviews from The Knot, so I wanted to post as well, to help other brides out. For our 7/2/11 wedding, here's a few of the local vendors.
Venue: The Brookside Club - The Brookside was a beautiful place to have our summer wedding. The ceremony was outside in a tent at 6pm, with the reception inside going until 11. Melissa and Frank were helpful wedding coordinators. We chose chicken and beef buffet and received many compliments how how great the food was. The incredible sunset was a great way to kick off the reception.
Tuxes: Puritans Cape Cod in Hyannis - We worked primarily with Kerry Marchant throughout the process and it couldn't have been easier. Kerry was extremely helpful from the first time we met to figure out exactly what was needed and
went out of his way to help everyone. The tuxes looked incredible!
DJ: Steve Binder - Steve played everything we asked, and even had a special surprise for us at the end of the night. The guests were happy and out on the dance floor all night up until the place closed down. Steve is not one of those overexcited DJs who likes to hear themselves talk, he did a great job and did everything right. We couldn't have been happier.
JP: Justice Lucien Poyant - Justice Poyant was very friendly throughout the wedding process. I mixed two of his ceremonies into one for a specialized ceremony for us. He was relaxed as he was doing our vows, whispering our instructions to us, which was good because I was very nervous. I really liked him. He made us feel special and had a great big smile throughout the ceremony.
Wedding Cake: Cottage Street Bakery - Our wedding cake was good and I liked the look of it. I didn't know what to expect because I had not seen it, I had just told them what I was looking for in a cake. We had a couple of different flavors. The cake was good, but I was not blown away.
Flowers: Casablanca Florals - We did not interact much through the process but Tammy was friendly, and my bouquet lasted 2 weeks after the wedding. Tammy showed up with all the flowers on time for the wedding and everything looked great.
Flowers (honorable mention): Petals by Sea - I almost went with Karen of Petals by the Sea, but she was busy for 7/2, and Karen referred me to Tammy. Karen spent many phone calls trying to find me a backup because she was out of town, and was legitimately concerned that she would be unavailable. Even though I didn't purchase anything from her, I thought that was very kind.
