Reception Site recomendations?

Does anyone have any recomendations for places in Hickory, NC to have our reception?  Or for that matter, places to avoid?  We're getting ready to start picking places to look into for our reception site and would like to hear what other people liked or didn't like.

    Just a few questions to help you out.  How many people at your reception and what is your budget.  Are you looking for something w/food on site or one you can bring a cater to?

    We're using the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  You don't have to pay a fee to use it as long as you meet the minimum revenue, which was pretty easy for us to meet.
