DJ Recommendations

I know this has been asked, but the search function kind of stinks and I am hoping people have some new recommendations.

I am in need of some good DJ recommendations. Danny Walsh is not available on my date. I have gotten recommendations from other vendors for Keith Lemire or Good Times Unlimited (the only DJ at Good Times available is Peter Brady). Any thoughts on those two? I'm looking for someone who is fun, but not cheesey-- NO games, no line dances, will get both the old and young guests dancing. Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

I used Steve Binder.  I couldn't have been happier!  He is not cheesy at all.  He played the greatest music that got all ages up on the dance floor for over 5 hours!  No line dances accept the one that my 8 year old nieces requested (it was actually fun) but you can tell him prior what you do and don't want him to play.  He played our ceremony music as well and gave us a CD of our wedding songs.  I got married in October and people are still telling me how much they loved the DJ.

I'm using Mark Friedman from 2WayEntertainment.  He's out of East Falmouth and comes highly recommended.  The website is www.2wayentertainment.com.

I too am looking for a DJ of the non-cheesy kind.  I have been told, you write out a play list of all the songs you want them to play and group them or have them all mixed together, whichever you prefer.  Then when you interview the DJs, you ask them if they can do your list.  If they have your music then there shouldn't be a problem.  The other advice I was given was to simply ask them to keep quiet and keep the guests happy and dancing.  If you don't want them to take requests ask them to tell the guests that come up to him to simply say that the bride and groom have such a long playlist that he cannot take any requests.  I thought that was pretty good advice so I hope you find it helpful!
